RYA POWERBOAT & PERSONAL WATERCRAFT INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Looking to advance your watersports skills and employment opportunities like a Superyacht instructor?

The Super Yacht and Marine industry always need instructors to train clients. This could be on a yacht where you are looking after the watersports department. Rules and regulations are in place and Superyachts need to comply. This means operators of Powerboats (Tenders) and PWC (Jet Skis) must have training and certificates.

Relevant experience and qualifications are needed. Your skills would include:

  • Launching of trailers
  • Docking
  • Planning routes
  • Familiar with charts
  • Rules of the road
  • Lights and buoys etc.

The qualifications needed prior to the instructor course are short one or 2-day courses which we can provide for you.

HOW DO I BECOME A POWERBOAT / SUPERYACHT INSTRUCTOR OR PWC (JET SKI) INSTRUCTOR?

The 2 main requirements are 2 years of relevant boating experience. This would be you as skipper most of the time. Your skills would include, launching of trailers, docking, planning routes, familiar with charts, rules of the road, lights and buoys etc. The second is a personality and passion for inspiring others in boating.
